All the entries are absolutely adorable, and brought a big smile to our faces!  Our goal is to try and make stars of as many of our furry visitors as possible. However, much will depend largely on the quality of the photos, as well as which poses our graphic designer is able to work into our new template.  Hang in!

About the Scoop Dog Photo Contest

What We're Looking For:

To maximize your chances of winning a spot on our cover, we specifically need several fun and interesting angles and poses, as illustrated below:.

         Include:
  • Your name
  • Your dog's name, age and breed ... and any other details about him/her you'd like to share
  • Title your email: "Scoop Dog Photo Contest"


Photo Contest Guidelines:

  1. Anyone can enter the contest.
  2. All dog breeds, shapes, sizes and colors are accepted.
  3. You may enter as many dog photos as you wish throughout the duration of the contest. The deadline for submitting photos is July 15, 2010. *** Due to popular request, we are extending the deadline to August 31, 2010 ***
  4. Photos must contain a dog (or dogs). Photos that include people will be cropped if used. Photos that include names, advertising logos, or markings on them will not be accepted. 
  5. All dog photos must be in color. They must be in focus and of good, clear quality (brightness and contrast, no shadows, etc.) to be useable.
  6. We can only accept email entries ( If you do not have digital images of your photos, your local print store can scan them at very low prices).
  7. Acceptable photo formats are jpg, gif, bmp, or png.
  8. The Dog Food Scoop team will decide on the winning photos based on the best fit for our website theme.
  9. All entries will be displayed on our website. The winners will be notified by e-mail, and featured prominently on our website.
  10. Photos that don't win the Scoop Dog Photo Contest still stand a good chance of being used on future pages of our site.

Photo Contest Rules:

  1. Spammers will be immediately blacklisted.
  2. Pictures depicting harm done to, or cruelty to the dog, or other inappropriate content will be disqualified immediately.
  3. You must take the photo yourself, or have the photographer's written consent to submit the photo. You also must own the dog or, if not, you must provide the email address and name of the owner with the photo. We will contact the owner for permission to accept the photo.
  4. Absolutely no copyrighted pictures must be submitted, nor photos that violate any intellectual property rights of someone else.
  5. All photos submitted become the property of Dogfoodscoop.com, and we reserve the right to select, edit, modify and/or to remove any photos from our website at any time, at our sole discretion. We also reserve the right to exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to the photos, including incorporating them in other works in any media.
  6. By entering the Scoop Dog Photo Contest you will have agreed to the above guidelines and rules.
  7. Violations of any of the above guidelines will result in automatic disqualification.
