Dog Food and Chronic Yeast Infections

I have a 12 year old Doxie who has chronic yeast infection on her body and ears. I have recently changed her to Natural Balance Chicken and Sweet Potato (for a limited diet - grain free) dry food as well as wet food for taking her medicine.

Is this a good food to help with this condition?

Dog grain allergy, ear yeast infections
by: Anonymous

My dog's yeast infections (ear and between toes) cleared up never to return after I put him on a grain free dry kibble.

In the last 4 years he has been eating a grain free dog food he has not had any itchiness, skin issues, or yucky ears.

dog yeast infections

My dog also had many yeast type infections on his skin and ears due to allergies.

The vet recommended to use apple cider vinegar in the food, also clean the ears with it. Apple cider vinegar naturally kills the yeast forming cultures.
