Saved by Bull Terrier Rescue! This was Woody then!

Bull Terrier Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization managed wholly by volunteer board members and officers. They service Northern and parts of Central California. They are dedicated to rescuing Bull Terriers in crisis and placing them in appropriate homes.

Right now, the number of Bull Terriers coming into Rescue is overwhelming! Just last week there were nine (9) owner surrenders for various reasons from foreclosure to unemployment. Bull Terrier Rescue is not receiving donations at the rate they have in the past due to the current economic situation in this Country. The number of available foster homes are dwindling for the same reasons.

A donation of dog food in any amount would be greatly appreciated by the volunteers who run the Rescue and by the homeless Bullies in need!

I am a volunteer from the Portland, Oregon area and have been trying to help Bull Terrier Rescue expand their adoption area to include parts of the Pacific Northwest. There just aren't enough homes in California to house them anymore, so they are slowing expanding their service areas.

I drove over 700 miles to the Bakersfield area of California to adopt my sweet Bully Woody! He was thrown out of the window of a moving vehicle and sustained a broken leg and several lacerations! He was taken into Bull Terrier Rescue where they nursed him back to health and helped to place him in my loving home! I've attached a picture of him when he first went into Rescue! If it weren't for Bull Terrier Rescue he would have died by the side of the road!

Please consider a donation in any amount to this wondeful Rescue Organization! They truly are Angels in my opinion and in the opinions of the countless number of Bullies they have saved!

Thank you!!! :o)

I love my Mr. Monkee

I love my Mr. Monkee

This rescue organization is phenomenal in the sheer EFFORT that ALL the volunteers make to save the beloved Bull Terriers.

But most especially the TIME, COMMITMENT, and LOVE that goes way BEYOND the call of duty that the president, Susi Ming-Strohl, puts into rescuing BT's. Her and her hubby Charley both work full time jobs and manage to spend 99% of their free time/off days to rescuing BT's! Susi stops at nothing to find ways for people to help out and volunteer, whether fund-raising or transporting dogs, and it's nothing less than AMAZING! She and her hubby many times have to drive long distances themselves to rescue dogs...*whatever it takes*, they make sure the bullies get EVERY CHANCE POSSIBLE to be saved!

There are SO MANY dogs being turned in these past couple of years due to the bad economy, but that doesn't mean they don't have a chance at life...not if Susi has anything to say about it. She is unlike any other person I've ever met!

We're proud owners of a rescue bullie ourselves, thanks to Susi & Charley's efforts. We're also very proud to be volunteers for BT Rescue, Inc; and humbled to be considered friends of the Strohls.

I've never seen commitment towards anything at this level. Truly commendable! I can't imagine any other organization that should be noted for a well deserved prize! Bull Terrier Rescue, Inc., should be awarded generously for all that the organization accomplishes from week to week, year to year.

Respectfully, from Bull Terrier Rescue dog owners,
M & K G.

They are a very WONDERFUL group of people who network, foster, rescue, and SAVE Bull Terriers! Dogs that need homes for various reasons including monetary, illness, family crisis, abuse, and basically any Bully that needs a place to go. They work hard to give these lovable, faithful canines excellent, loving homes. They are some of my heroes/heroines! The proof is in the love and the numbers! Their dedication is heartwarming.

Bull Terrier Rescue is a phenomenal organization, rescuing and placing dogs who have lost their homes or been subjected to terrible abuse and neglect.

The people involved in this organization do tremendous work, dedicating their time and efforts to the breed 24/7. They have a very active website and facebook page, which are very informative and make it easy to keep up with the latest news - good and bad or sad.

They do a fabulous job of evaluating the incoming dogs and making sure the foster or adoptive homes are the right fit. They all go above and beyond - and with great self sacrifice - to rescue as many dogs as possible and to make sure these dogs get the love, attention, and medical treatment necessary.

I love this group. They've turned me on to Bull Terriers, to rescue dogs - and not just me, but several of my friends who read about them and their work through posts on my facebook.

Amazing group, doing amazing work, during especially difficult times.
