Bull Terrier Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization managed wholly by volunteer board members and officers. They service Northern and parts of Central California. They are dedicated to rescuing Bull Terriers in crisis and placing them in appropriate homes.

Right now, the number of Bull Terriers coming into Rescue is overwhelming! Just last week there were nine (9) owner surrenders for various reasons from foreclosure to unemployment. Bull Terrier Rescue is not receiving donations at the rate they have in the past due to the current economic situation in this Country. The number of available foster homes are dwindling for the same reasons.

Bull Terrier Rescue Inc. is the most wonderful
group of dedicated people.

Suzi always seems to put the needs of these wonderful dogs before her own. Whether it be finding a loving home for a needy dog, medical care, transportation, getting dogs out of shelters, finding loving foster care - the list goes on, she is there, working tirelessly to make it happen.

Luckily, she has wonderful volunteers who help in this process, but I am always in awe of how she gets it all done. She has been a wonderful resource to me as well, being a first time BT owner, and to anyone who needs help or has a question about these incredible dogs!

Awesome job, BTRI!!

That's my opinion, and probably of so many others. Seeing how BTRI has worked so hard for so many years to get BT's lives saved, placed in foster homes, or in permanent one's tells me how hard the entire BTRI volunteer organization works *for* the dogs =)

There isn't enough room on here for me to post my comments on how much they deserve to win this thing! I wish I could vote 10 stars!

We're on our 3rd BT rescue dog and we're eternally grateful to BTRI for that. =)

BT Rescue is very dedicated to all BT?s in need, there is no separation if the animal is in dire need of a new home due to economy or the dog owner is not able to provide the necessary veterinarian care due to health issues.

Susi Ming is the most dedicated rescue person I had the pleasure of working with. She deserves 5 stars and more. She is the reason that BT rescue is up and going. Hurrah for Susi! Keep up the good work

Dedicated to the fullest. Foster homes always needed, due to the public advertising the Bull Terrier in movies and as the "Target Dog", folks don't understand how difficult the breed can be.

The large need for rescue to step in and help the breed was very obvious last year as it was raining BT'S.

Rescue and their dedicated foster mom's and dad's can use all the help! Thanks you for all you do for the breed.

Tazz heard that some rescue Bullies needed some help and asked me to come on here to vote. We have Tazz because of a couple of rescue groups that took care of him in foster care. We found a great food that works well with Tazz's allergies through Dog Food Scoop.

They work hard to rescue Bull Terriers in need and place them into homes that can care for them. Lots of members support the effort of the folks that are in charge. They do through evaluations of each and every dog that is going into a new home. Very supportive network.

I acquired Winnie after 3 foster homes, and 6-8 years of neglect. She has been wonderful so far, and I am thankful for BTRI for allowing me to baby such a wonderful middle age doggie. A lot of times people that rescue just want puppies, but I am glad BTRI rescues dogs of all ages and health levels, because although I am slowly helping Winnie recover, (just like all her fosters), she could have easily been put to sleep at the shelter, and BTRI saw her tenacity, spunk, and zeal for life and saved her :)

These folks work hard for only the love of these wonderful dogs. They make sure they are saved from sad situations, placed in the perfect spot, and if needed, recieve medical attention, training, or transportation. (sometimes accross oceans) I cant think of enough kuddo's to say!!

We are in the process of adopting a 7 month old pup.Can't wait to get him home. BTR of Northern Ca. really follows through and makes sure dogs and humans are a good match. I commend them for all their hard work. A lot of people are involved in this group and Suz runs a well organized rescue.

If it wasn't for Bull Terrier Rescue I wouldn't have my cutie pie...Baba Louie. I too drove down from Oregon to rescue this guy and I am so glad I did. I hope that you can help BTR with donations! It is an awesome Rescue Operation with many many dedicated volunteers!

Just when we were at a very low point, grieving, after our former beloved rescue bullie died, BTRI's Susi Ming found the sweetest and most wonderful bullie angel for us, to bring love and sunshine back into our lives!

Without a doubt, there are *hundreds* of wonderful bullies who live happily with their new families now thanks entirely to BTRI's president Susi and her tireless efforts and that of her volunteers. So many dogs have been saved because of BTRI!

I can't think of any other charity that truly reflects the *meaning* of the word "charity" because of how BTRI is operated.

It starts with love for the dogs, and ends with love. Everything else that goes on in-between those periods is very hard work, but BTRI's main focus is always the same: SAVING the dogs! It's the bottom line.

Bull Terrier Rescue, Inc., San Francisco's deserves the 5 heart rating- and the rescue bullies to receive the food donation.

I can't say enough about this wonderful organization. My family has grown with the addition of two FABULOUS bullies that found me thru the organization. One of them and I are a registered pet partners team with Delta Society and we regularly go into facilities to make people smile (and the other one and I are hoping to get there this year). The dogs are great through this organization & the people work tirelessly. It is the BEST if you ask me.

I'm the foster mom for Bullet, a bull terrier with a severe skin infection. Without Bull Terrier Rescue, Inc. Bullet would have been put to sleep.

When we first got poor Bullet he could barely hold his head up. But he managed to wag his tail even though it was severely swollen. The poor guy was covered from head to toe in sores. His feet were swollen and oozing pus. Bullet's initial exam was nearly $600.00 and he is receiving medications that cost over $100 every three weeks.

But the good news is not just that Bullet is alive. He is thriving and will soon be ready for a forever home where he will be loved and cared for. This just one of the many stories where Bull Terrier Rescue has made the difference in the life of a dog. They deserve all the help they can get.

This rescue works efficiently to help many needy bull terriers. Help is always appreciated and if food costs could be decreased then other expenses may be more easily managed. This means the potential to save more lives. Help this rescue continue it's fabulous work!

Many thanks to the tireless volunteers of this group. Not only do they rescue bull terriers in need (and in this economy it is raining dogs!) but they also perform services like public/owner education and provide ongoing support for foster and adoption homes.

These busy, passionate people do all their own fundraising. They certainly get our vote!

This organization is simply one of the best run rescues, in any part of the country! It has been great seeing how much they help dogs, and it has been tough seeing how much need they have and knowing that from 1,500 miles away we are limited in the things we can do to help. The onslaught of Bull Terriers coming into Rescue continues and it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon! Just today, February 1, 2011, they are expecting 4-5, sixteen (16) week old Bully Pups to be placed with them for fostering/adoption! In January 2011 alone, they took eleven (11) dogs into the program! If these numbers keep pouring in, the need for a dog food donation is ever increasing!

Please help them, they are drowning in Bullies! :o(

This group does amazing work to rescue and place Bull Terriers. From shelter to kennel to foster home to forever home with transport in between, it is amazing how these people coordinate and complete these rescues. They are non profit organization that deserves all the help they can get.

Hi my name is Ivonna and I adopted Zeb from the Bull Terrier Rescue in March of 2010. He is 3 years old and originally from Las Vegas, where his family lost their home to foreclosure.

I tried to find a Bull Terrier up here in Washington but did not have any luck. I contacted Suzi and told her I would be willing to drive and currently have a female bully. She was great working with me to find the right fit for our home. I think that is one of the best things about them, they really care about the dogs and the people that are adopting them.

It is amazing how many dogs they help through the use of fosters and other volunteers. It isn't just the adopted dogs either via Facebook they answer all kinds of questions for bull terrier owners all over the world, No kidding if they can help they will or direct you to someone who they think can.

We love Zeb he is at his forever home now and I can never thank the Bull Terrier Rescue enough.

If you can please donate some food to them that will free up more money for them to help with medical costs and other expenses for some of the dogs.

I don't know of any organization more deserving than Bull Terrier Rescue. I've seen them struggle for the past year trying to place an unprecedented number of Bullies into new, loving, "furever" homes!

Please help them to help more Bullies by awarding them a donation of pet food! A donation in any amount would help them cut costs for dog food and thus be able to allocate those funds to saving more Bullies! It would really help them and all the Bullies in need that rely on them for a second chance at life!
