House With a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary

House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary (HWAH), a non-profit and all-volunteer organization, is currently home to about 30 senior dog residents and 5 senior cat residents.

The senior dogs at HWAH are there as a result of becoming homeless or were in the process of losing their home for a variety of reasons.

HWAH fills a need for its dogs by providing a sanctuary for them and, unlike most other rescues, HWAH does not seek adoption for its residents. Instead, HWAH provides a safe and loving place for its residents to live out their full lives so they will never lose their home again.

This is a great organization in Gaithersburg, Maryland, run by a loving and caring woman named Sher Polvinale. She and House With a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary get my vote! Thank you.

A Special Place

House with a Heart is a very special place.

For pets who have lost their homes as seniors, it provides a loving environment and attentiveness that is amazing. The residents receive state-of-the-art medical care, the best nutrition, a spotless home environment, and love, hugs, and kisses on a continual basis.

Kudos to Executive Director, Sher Polvinale, and her dedicated troupe of volunteers for making HWAH such an outstanding sanctuary.
